MatFlex focuses on the content layer
MatFlex Media Player manages what the operator wants to show: media, screen zones, timelines, animated text, web pages and built-in display programs. It works with the display area provided by Windows and the connected GPU workflow.
MatFlex does not replace LED calibration tools, receiving cards or hardware processors. Those remain part of the display-control layer.
Epix® focuses on display integration
Epix® / Epix Technologies LLC provides professional LED screens, commercial display systems and project integration. That can include screen design, cabinet configuration, controller selection, installation and commissioning.
This relationship is useful because the software can be planned with an understanding of the real display geometry, workstation outputs and operator requirements instead of being treated as a generic media player.
A clean project handover
For a complete installation, the hardware team should provide the mapped screen resolution and controller configuration, while the content team provides media prepared for that resolution. The MatFlex workstation then handles the daily content workflow.
Why keep the layers separate?
Separation makes support clearer. A pixel-mapping or calibration issue belongs to the hardware layer; a playlist or web-content issue belongs to the playback layer. Operators can update content without touching LED calibration, while technicians can service the display hardware without rebuilding media projects.
